Sliding Vane Pumps

Sliding vane pumps are used in a wide range of applications within the LPG, refined fuels, and chemical industries. Sliding vane technology is commonly used for applications requiring flow rates of 20 gpm
or more.

Regenerative Turbine Pumps

The operating principles of a regenerative turbine pump are rather subtle compared to other pumps. A regenerative turbine pump pressurizes fluid much like a centrifugal pump.

Reciprocating Gas Compressors

Reciprocating compressors pull vapor into a cylinder through a suction valve by drawing back a piston to create a low pressure area in the cylinder. The gas is pressurized when the piston pushed back up into the cylinder and squeezed out through the discharge valve.

The process industry is comprised of any industry or market concerned with processing bulk materials into a finished product. Process manufacturers take raw bulk materials and convert them into a finished product that cannot be distilled back to its basic or original components. Corken's industrial compressors and pumps are commonly used to supply a gas or liquid to the this process.

The energy industry includes any company/industry involved with the production and sale of energy. This includes fuel extraction, manufacturing, refining, and distribution. Corken's products of moving energy products from extraction (oil and gas wells) to the final point of consumption. Whether it is boosting the pressure of a gas well feeding into a pipeline or transporting gasoline and aviation fuel to a bulk storage facility or retail dispensing station, Corken industrial compressors and pumps are utilized at each point of transfer.

The transport industry as it relates to Corken includes truck and transport, liquid terminals, and marine. As liquefied gases, refined fuels, and chemicals are produced, they must be transported to a bulk storage facility or final point of consumption. Trucks, transports, tank cars, barges, and tanker ships are common forms of transportation and Corken's industrial compressors and pumps facilitate each point of transfer.

Our History

As an IDEX Energy AFS brand and leading manufacturer of industrial compressors, pumps, bypass valves, and accessories, Corken specializes in custom compressor packaging and pump skids designed for liquefied gas transfer, liquid transfer, air boosting, and vapor recovery applications within the process gas, energy, and
transport industries.

Founded in 1924, Corken's exceptional reputation is built upon decades of maintaining the highest quality products and customer service standards. This combined with a strong commitment to technological innovation, has positioned Corken as a global leader in compression and pumping solutions.

Corken’s passion for finding solutions to compression and pumping problems stems from its founders, Otto K. (O.K.) and Charlie Corken. In 1924, O.K. Corken and his son, Charlie, opened a distributorship for water and boiler feed pumps in Oklahoma City. In the mid-1940s, they began manufacturing compressors and pumps for the LPG industry. Both men were known for their passion and commitment to developing solutions for complex compression and pumping problems inherent to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and other industrial gases and liquids. In the years to follow, Corken quickly gained market recognition for its quality line of industrial compressors and pumps designed for propane, butane, and anhydrous ammonia.

Today, Corken’s compressors, pumps, and engineered packages are used by a wide range of companies throughout the world, including the Far East, Asia, Africa, Europe, Middle East, and South and North America. Corken serves each of its customers through an extensive network of distributors—each sharing the same commitment to customer service demonstrated by Corken more than 95 years.
