Industrial SC-Series Pumps—Troubleshooting Guide

Pump is Noisy

Possible Causes

 

What To Do      

  Cavitation from poor suction conditions  Increase pipe size of liquid and/or vapor lines. Clean inlet strainer.
  Starving pump  Increase pipe size of liquid and/or vapor lines. Clean inlet strainer.
  Bearings seized or worn   Replace.
  Differential pressure too high   Restriction in discharge piping or discharge piping is too small.
  Improperly aligned drive system   Correct as necessary.
