Coro-Flo® Turbine Pump—Troubleshooting Guide

Low Capacity

Possible Causes

 

What To Do      

Pump speed too low / Wrong electric motorUse tachometer to determine pump speed. Adjust speed.

Low voltage Check motor speed.

Differential pressure too high Restriction in discharge piping / hose, or increase their size.

Bypass valve stuck open or set too low Check capacity with by-pass line closed using manual valve. Re-adjust, repair or replace valve.

Clogged strainer Clean strainer.

Suction pipe too small or restricted Indicated by pump inlet pressure dropping when pump is started. Remove restrictions and/or increase pipe size.

Worn Impeller Replace Impeller.
