Possible Causes

What To Do

Pump running without liquid

Assure liquid is always in pump during operation.

Clogged strainer

Inspect and clean.

Suction line is too small or restricted

Find and remove restriction or modify piping.

Foreign material in pump.

Clean pump and inspect the strainer screen.

Improperly aligned drive system

Can cause premature seal, bearing and sideplate failure. Correct as necessary.
