Autogas Pumps—Troubleshooting Guide

Pump Will Not Turn—Locked

Possible Causes

 

What To Do      

Foreign matter in pump Clean out pump. Inspect strainer screen or install strainer in suction line.

Bearing seized Replace the pump's bearings—grease bearing a minimum of every three months, using a ball bearing grease. Note: Continuous duty applications may require monthly lubrication.

Moisture frozen in pump Thaw and break loose carefully. Check with the product supplier if the product contains water. Properly remove the moisture from the product.

Improperly aligned drive system (F-Model) Can cause premature seal and bearing failure.
